Help on Help on treecon format
Using the forms interface to the LSU and SSU
databases, the sequences or alignments can be obtained in a number of formats.
Currently the following formats are supported:
Format used by the program DCSE to store alignments:
contains both gaps and secondary structure information, but no reference
information. The appropriate Helix numbering
lines are automatically inserted. This format can contain extremely
long lines; not all browsers can handle this. Therefore these files are
downloaded as type text/DCSE, and will usually be saved straight to disk.
- DCSE reference
Format used by the program DCSE to store reference
information: contains reference information, but no gaps and secondary
structure information. The plain sequence is included.
Format used by the program TREECON:
contains gaps but no secondary structure information.
A format based on the format used in the EMBL Nucleotide Sequence Library. The sequences contain gap symbols, but
no structure information. Reference information is present.
The format in which the sequences are stored on the server. This format
contains all information.
Alignment with structure information cut into slices which will fit on
a page. WARNING: It can take a considerable time before anything will appear
on your browser. This format is limited to a selection of 100 sequences.
The appropriate Helix numbering lines
are automatically inserted.
A format based on the NBRF/PIR format. It contains gap symbols, but no
structure nor reference information.
